Special Functions
Reset the engine oil, Carry out the CBS Reset, Exhaust emission inspection, Coolant Service Reset, Spark plugs Reset, Brake fluid Service Reset, Micro-filter Service Reset
Register the battery replacement, this is a MUST DO JOB, failing to do so may create an over charging situation, shorten the battery life and/or enable limp-home mode
Brake Pad / Shoe changes on vehicles equipped with EPB’s (Electronic Parking Brakes) MUST be carried out using a Diagnostic Tool to correctly re-calibrate. This tool will offer you that capability on supported models. De-activate to Service Position – Replace – Re-activate.
The Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) is used to measure the angle of the steering wheel and the speed at which it is being turned. The signal is mainly used by the ABS System as part of it’s stability control function but also by other systems such as ride level control and adaptive lighting. A problem with the SAS Signal will cause a fault with any of the systems that use the signal directly, or indirectly.
If the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) needs to be changed, many vehicle’s require the new sensor to be calibrated. This tool will allow you to carry out steering angle re-calibration on supported models.
Diagnose ABS/SRS system codes, read and clear DTCs and turn off ABS/SRS warning light, retrieves ABS/SRS ECU information, etc.
Note that a forced/manual DPF regen using this scanner is only possible on vehicles that allow this function. Some vehicles do not allow a forced/manual DPF regen using third-party tools as the process will need to be done manually on the vehicle via user inputs.

NOTICE: PRODUCT LIMITATIONS
DPF Regeneration or Reset (Diesel Particulate Filter) – Note that a forced/manual DPF regen using this scanner is only possible on vehicles that allow this function. Some vehicles do not allow a forced/manual DPF regen using third-party tools as the process will need to be done manually on the vehicle via user inputs. In this case, the scanner will only provide instructions on how to do the process manually via user inputs on the vehicle, and will not have the capability to automate the process. This is not indicative of a ‘faulty’ scanner and any return reason with such will be subject to our Returns Policy and Terms & Conditions.
Special Functions – Note that these special features and functions may not be available on all models. Please get in touch with us first to ensure supportability. We will need your model, motor, and VIN and the function you are after to determine if compatible. Returns due to a buyer’s failure to first confirm with OBD2 Scanz compatibility on this vehicle will be subject to our Returns Policy and Terms and Conditions.
Software Updates – A special and/or a standard software update is and may be required to enable some features and functions. The software update is available in Windows only. It is the responsibility of the buyer to execute and apply the software updates. A return with a reason ‘the device was not updated’ will be subject to our Return Policy and Terms and Conditions as this does not constitute a ‘faulty’ or ‘defective’ device. Video and photo proof is required for any claim of this product as not working. The video proof must clearly show and demonstrate the claim.
Feedback File – In cases where the scanner fails to perform a certain function, OBD2 Scanz will require a feedback file to be sent for analysis. Feedback files are required in order to determine the cause of incompatibility, and in order to enable the failed function. If a customer refuses to update and/or send feedback files, and forces a return for a refund, the refund will be subject to restocking fees.
This scanner only works on Mercedes vehicles with the 16pin OBD2 port only. It does NOT work with vehicles that have the 16pin port along with the 38pin round port, even with an adapter. It is imperative that you check your ports first prior to purchase of this device.
